After working as a teaching assistant in a school for children aged 4-18 with additional needs and running a summer school volunteer project in rural Romania, my experiences led me to start training as a play and creative arts therapist in 2011. Since then, I have gained a Masters in Play Therapy and Postgraduate qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, and worked in a variety of settings including primary and secondary schools, alongside social care, in refuges and with charity projects around Intensive Family Support and Child Sexual Exploitation. My aim to make therapy as accessible as possible to children led to me opening a private practice in 2015, and recently expanded from Sunrise Play Therapy to  founding Sunrise Therapy Centre CIC.

Qualifications and CPD

Accredited Play and Creative Arts Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, certified CBT Therapist,

BSc Psychology, PGDip Play Therapy, MA Play Therapy, PGCert Psychological Trauma, PGDip Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy 

Membership with UKCP, PTUK and BACP.

Tavistock and Portman training; Understanding development from a psychoanalytic perspective, Families and beyond, a systemic approach to thinking.

British Psychological Society training; Certificate in Applying CBT with Children and Adolescents, Certificate in Third wave CBT including Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
